Would You Like To Become Involved?

What is the PTA?

The PTA (Parent Teacher Association) Committee consists of parent and teacher representatives.  It provides a great opportunity to meet new people, put your skills to use, gives you a better insight into how the school is run, a better relationship/communication with the school and teaching staff and also involvement in your child's education

We meet once a month in the evening to plan our future fundraising events.  These have previously been school discos, quizzes, bingo/disco evenings, fashion shows, treasure hunts, pamper nights, Chrismas hamper raffle and we work with Werrington Scouts and Guides to put on the Fireworks Display.

Why we do it?

The funds we raise go towards the purchase of book bags/rucksacks, school trips, sports and IT equipment, Reception toys, digital cameras, books and lots more.  It pays for all the 'extras' not provided by the school budget that make our children's learning experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting.

Where will I find more information?

We have our own Facebook page where we keep parents in touch with our events - search Werrington Primary School PTA.

We have a notice board in the playground, which is updated as regularly as possible and shows upcoming events and general information.
