Croc ChallengeCrocodile Infested Swamp Challenge

Again the fearless adventurers at Challenge Club have dared to pit their wits against the crocs!

This challenge saw them solving problems and riddles, along with some physical challenges, to cross a crocodile infested swamp.

In teams of fifteen they tackled the first problem, getting them all across the swamp with only two ‘rafts’, each raft could only hold five people at a time- how would you solve this problem?!! Both teams quickly found a solution and safely crossed to the next land, even negotiating their way over a ‘dam’ half way!

The next part of the swamp was too rocky for the rafts but a sign explained that only two people could cross on the rocks before they became unsafe, what were they to do?!! No problem for Challenge Club members, they assessed what equipment was available and used a plank to form a bridge across. As often happens at Challenge Club there was more than one ‘right’ way to solve the dilemma. One team calculated that by using the lowest bar on the trestle the plank would be long enough to reach across; the other team realise that using the plank on a higher setting, providing a slanted ramp down to the floor, would still allow them to cross.

Having crossed the rocky water the teams still had to cross to another ‘dam’ across the swamp to reach the final stepping stones. Fantastic teamwork allowed them to transport the ‘rafts’ across the bridges they had made so they could continue on their journey.

The final stepping stones were numbered, each had a riddle to solve to select the only safe stones. How would you have done?
