Year 5 Science Day at the Peterborough School June 2015

We watched a play which was one hour and 30 minutes long.  The play involved solids, liquids and gases.  Also compounds, filtrator and mixtures.  It was a detective, mystery story.  They were trying to find who had stolen the ingredients (including sugar and very secret, special water.  They had to do a sample test on the sugar which was taken to a mad scientist by Mrs Spendapenny.  The detective was T Cooper which they used as a joke as every time someone said his name he would say 'I've just had a coffee, so I don't need a tea'.

After the play we went into the lab rooms and we had to solve a crime.  We had a set of test tubes and one was a villain and the others were test tubes 1, 2, 3, 4 and an extra one.  In the tubes were wee samples which were fake and we had to see which number had the same PH, colour and glucose.  We found out that number 2 had the same as the villain.  The villain stole the gold and weed in the chamber pot.

We all had a lovely day and it was so much fun.
