TEMPORARY TEACHING ASSISTANT – LEVEL 2 POST

Up to 24.5 HOURS PER WEEK TERM TIME ONLY UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2020 and possibly beyond.  (We would consider two or more teaching assistants who would be willing to split the role.)

 

 

We are seeking to appoint a temporary Teaching Assistant to work within either Key Stage. We are hoping to find a candidate who is able to work 1:1 and with larger groups as it is helpful for TAs to be able to swap roles as necessary. We will take individual skills and interests into account, wherever possible, when allocating roles. The successful candidate will become part of a hardworking and welcoming team of staff and pupils. Werrington Primary School is a large, two-form entry school within Werrington village, with 420 pupils.  We have excellent resources, enthusiastic learners and supportive colleagues and parents. The ideal candidate will have:

 

 

  • Commitment to working with children at all academic levels within a class
  • Experience of working with children with children on a 1:1 basis
  • Experience of working with children in groups
  • High expectations
  • Will be keen to make an impact on children’s learning

 

 

Salary within Grade 6, points 7 to 12 dependent on experience and qualifications
