Sleepy heads took some waking this morning after a good nights rest.
After another hearty breakfast we hit the road to Robin Hood’s Bay for a stroll around an amazing, undulating, historical and unspoilt village. With real fascination the children listened intensely to the tales told of smugglers, contraband and secret underground tunnels. As seen on TV’s ‘Coast’.
Activities included: Rock-pooling; postcard sketching; village trail come treasure hunt and ice cream eating!
Just when we thought the day could not get any better we were all thoroughly entertained by Werrington’s Got Talent! The judges were unanimous when reflecting on the extremely high level of aptitude of the young people in year 6 from our wonderful school.
Off to bed on a high, the children look forward to the possibility of meeting the Queen tomorrow in Scarborough town!
The survival kit donated by a kind, thoughtful and generous parent was delicious and thirst quenching!
