A former pupil of WPS, Peter Epathite, will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in July. He will be raising money for a charity called 'ChildReach'. To support Peter raise money, we have agreed to hold a non-uniform day on Friday 24th April. Due to Peter's university exams and other commitments later in the term, we have had to select this early date! He will be leading an assembly for the children, telling them how their money will help children in Africa and all about his plans for the expedition. To make it a colourful day, we are calling it a 'Colours of Africa Day' so any colour clothing linked to something about Africa will be fine - animals, flag colours etc. If you would like your child to take part in this event, please send them in with a donation on the day.
There will also be a small cake sale at the end of the day, which will be organised by Year 4. If you would like your child to be able to buy cakes, please provide them with some money to spend or come along with them after school on Friday.
Thank you for your support!
