Local Governing Body

The Governing Body is an important part of school leadership and management. The role is a strategic one rather than operational, which means the day-to-day running of the school is down to the Headteacher and management team. The Governing Body is often described as the school's 'critical friend'.

The core functions of the Governing Body are to:

  • Ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.
  • Hold the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils.
  • Oversee the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

Our Governing Body consists of:

  • 6 Co-opted Governors
